Arnaud Aucoeur - Winemaker & Vintner
Voted “Winemaker of the Year for the Beaujolais region” by the 2020 Guide Hachette des Vins.
Alongside his grandfather, Jean-Pierre, he learned the craft of the vine and, at just 18, enrolled in a BTS viticulture program to refine his knowledge and expand his experiences.
After two years specializing in wine marketing, Arnaud bought his aunt's vineyards and took the helm of the oldest family estate in Morgon.
Like his grandfather, Arnaud values quality over quantity. Each year, he replants vines to ensure the transmission of the Aucoeur heritage, which spans 10 generations.
Transmission is a core value of the Aucoeur family. To perpetuate the legacy of his barrel-making ancestors, Arnaud Aucoeur vinifies some of his vintages, notably the Moulin-à-vent, in wooden vessels. More than a winemaker, Arnaud is above all a passionate man driven by discovery and sharing.
To fulfill this quest, he travels the Beaujolais, highlighting overlooked vineyards through meticulous vinification work. For Arnaud, emotion arises from the balance between tradition and modernity. Thus, he grants full freedom to the vine growers in vineyard work and pays special attention to vinification, carried out according to techniques unique to the Aucoeur signature.

Mélanie Aucoeur - The Renaissance
A nature lover and outdoor enthusiast, Mélanie, then a recent graduate with a master's degree in management, fell under the spell of the one she had known since high school.
A few years later, the inseparable lovers welcomed their first of four children, thus opening the first chapter of the 12th Aucoeur generation.
On the eve of their second child's birth, Mélanie, then a manager at a Lyon-based company, joined the family estate to apply her organizational and logistical skills. The estate quickly became structured, organized, and emancipated.
With enthusiasm, generosity, and remarkable humility, Mélanie Aucoeur brought a contemporary dimension to the 1825 estate, essential for the company's future, and a new generation of four Aucoeurs: Adrien, Constant, Rose, and Aimée.

The future of the estate's winemakers seems set to continue for a long time… In 2025, we celebrate 200 years of the house and a life dedicated to the vine!
